While the prospect of a new and rewarding career with Harris GBS is exciting, we know you’ll have some questions along the way. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we hear from candidates:
Every candidate’s journey is unique. But on average, the recruitment process takes about 6 months and includes the following milestones:
- Initial Interview: The recruitment process begins with an interview with the Harris GBS team. The goal of the initial interview is to evaluate your qualifications for the role in question, including English proficiency and any applicable technical skills and competencies.
- Supervisory Organization Interview: Once your qualifications have been confirmed, you’ll be scheduled for an interview with the supervisory organization, or the Harris company that the role in question supports. This interview is conducted by the manager with direct supervisory responsibility for the work associated with the role.
- Offer: If you are deemed to be the best fit for the role, the Harris GBS team will prepare and extend an offer of employment.
- Notice Period: Once your offer is accepted and you’ve communicated your intended departure to your current employer, the Harris GBS team will remain in contact with you throughout your notice period.
- First Day: On the first day of your employment, you’ll begin your onboarding training.
You will be an employee of Harris GBS, but you will perform work for and appear in the organizational chart of the company within the Harris portfolio that your role was designed to support. For example, you may be employed by Harris GBS to fill a Technical Service Analyst role for QuadraMed, a Harris company within the healthcare vertical. When you receive your paycheck, you’ll see the name of your specific local Harris GBS office, like Harris Adelante or Bizmatics, through which payroll and benefits are coordinated within your home country. This partnership between Harris GBS, the local Harris GBS offices where our employees work, and the supervisory organizations our employees support allows us to offer vast employment opportunities serving a wide range of Harris companies across North America while ensuring compensation packages and benefits address the needs of each candidate regardless of home country.
